With online lessons, you can enjoy the convenience and flexibility of learning piano from the comfort of your own home, while benefiting from Jane's extensive knowledge, experience, feedback, while optimizing your playing sound.
Jane teaches a variety of musical styles, including Classical, 20th Century, Pop & Rock, Jazz, and Sacred music. Jane’s online teaching style is the same as in-studio. She also prepares students for prestigious First Class Honours Recitals and many local concerts and festivals.

Jane’s style of teaching is to customize each class to each student’s learning style. New concepts are delivered in the easiest and most efficient manner to each student, while keeping the lesson fun!
Learn On your Own Intrument
Students learn with on their own instrument in their environment. They produce a better sound and gain greater confidence in their own environment and piano.
Conservatory and Non-Conservatory Methods are Taught.
Jane prepares those wishing to take piano and written theory exams (theory, harmony, history). Weekly lessons are recommended to ensure continued progress.
Workshops and Recitals
Jane offers online monthly performance workshops and bi-annual live online student recitals. She also prepare students for the prestigious First Class Honours Recitals and many local concerts and festivals.
How It Works
Online lessons are available for:

All levels : Beginner to Grade 10 piano

All ages: 4 years to 94 years and

All theory courses
Online lessons are more effective than in-studio lessons.

Jane’s style of teaching is the same in-studio or online.

She teaches through verbal direction and demonstration via numerous webcams.

The students can view exactly what is being demonstrated as if Jane is sitting next to them.

Jane sees more such as hand position, fingering and posture with online lessons. She is able to provide extensive feedback for each student.

In addition, Jane optimizes the sound of each student’s playing on their instrument.

Weekly class lengths are 30, 45 or 60 minutes. The level of learning and goals determines the length of class time that is required. Musical styles taught are Classical, 20th Century, Pop & Rock, Jazz and Sacred.

Weekly typed homework notes are provided after each lesson.

Exams are remote so the student plays on their own instrument in the comfort of their own home.
Online Requirements

Good internet connection with at least 4 Mbps up/down. Increase to a minimum or 12Mbps up/down if sharing with others in a household.

Young Students

With the young student (4-6 years), it is recommended that an adult attend to help with marking and tracking of music.

Many parents enjoy learning alongside their child. Often, the young child will transition in taking the lesson without parental help. Independence comes earlier!
